It was an honour to host Richard Brunton (author – ‘The Awesome Power of Blessing’) from 28 August to 2 September.
Richard ministered on the principles of Blessing and the Father’s love in discipleship groups; schools; special meetings, churches, market-place and at the radio station.
Willy reported:
“It was a blessing to speak blessing …
Malo ‘e lelei from the Island Kingdom of Tonga to all our supporters around the globe. From my last newsletter to today, God has not stop working and doing wonders through the ministry of the Radio.
I would like to share some stories and testimony of God at work in the lives of the people of Tonga locally and globally. This story shows that your support is not in vain, but the seed planted is bearing fruits.
On 4 July (King’s Birthday, Tonga) we celebrated both the opening of the new station building and 30 years of broadcasting the gospel – since Christian radio for Tonga was first envisioned by HM King George Tupou IV …
We received unexpected news on Sunday 28 May, with the passing of Her Royal Highness Princess Mele Siu’ilikutapu.
It grieves the ministry to learn of her passing as she is not only a Princess of the nation of Tonga, but also a spiritual leader – a great leader – to many of us.
She has been a great blessing to the ministry. Her father – the brother of the late King George IV – was one who supported His Majesty King George IV in wanting to see a Christian radio station in Tonga.
Last Sunday (7 May) was our children’s Sunday and seven kids from seven different Discipleship groups, at the age between 8 to 16yrs, were used by God to minister to our people through Radio and Facebook LIVE.
It has amazed thousands – here and abroad – preaching, encouraging and sharing the Word of God.
I would like to take this time to thank each one of you for the many prayers and support towards our youth leadership retreat that was held in Auckland New Zealand, with our speakers John Fergusson and Richard Brunton. That trip was totally an act of faith where we see God’s hand moves and works in our midst within these 4 days.
Transformation, deliverance, healing, and restoration took place during this retreat. Our faith has grown, and these young leaders are the future of our country, church, ministry, and community.
Greetings again from the Island Kingdom of Tonga, on behalf of the Tonga Christian Radio we would like to wish you a blessed Happy New Year for 2023.
We declare Isaiah 43:19 (NLT) … “For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the wasteland.”
Today is the last day of 2022 and, with King David in 2 Samuel 5:20, after he defeated the Philistines, he exclaimed… “the Lord did it” and yes I declare that the Lord did it again in 2022.
Walking by faith and trusting God is an exciting journey, although it has been a tough year for us – but the Lord still did it.
We have 3 more days till Christmas and on behalf of the Tonga Christian Radio 93.1FM, I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas!
Filled with the Holy Spirit, Elizabeth said to Mary,
… “you are blessed because you believed that the Lord would do what He said.” (Luke 1:45 NLT)
The journey was hard for 2022, but one thing that keeps us going was believing that God will do what He said about the ministry of the Radio …
Greetings from the Island Kingdom of Tonga!
As we draw closer to the end of the year, and Christmas is just around the corner, I am overwhelmed with joy and thanksgiving at what the Lord has done through the ministry of the Radio.
For surely you shall call Him Immanuel which means ‘God is with us’. It was Immanuel that has bought us this far.
The Radio has become a platform where God demonstrates His Glory.
Greetings from the island kingdom of Tonga! As we approach the 4th quarter of the year, I stand speechless, humble and full of thanksgiving at what God is doing here in Tonga through the radio.
Although this year has its own challenges, storms and needs I was encouraged by what Nehemiah said to the children of Israel, while they were rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem …
Thank you to all who were able to join us on 20 August, as we gathered at Blockhouse Bay to celebrate the completion of the new station building and a new season of broadcasting the gospel of Jesus Christ – to Tongans everywhere!
